In a previous interview, Priyanka Chopra had spoken about former Duchess Meghan Markle being subjected to racism
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently being widely discussed for their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the interview, the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex made several allegations against the Royal Family. Meghan spoke about facing racism as there were discussions about her son Archie's skin colour before he was born. Amidst this, an old interview of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has resurfaced on the web.
In the interview, Priyanka had spoken about Meghan being subjected to racism by the press. In 2019, Priyanka who also shared a good bond with Meghan had commented on the press' criticism and called it 'really unfortunate' and 'racist'. To Sunday Times, she had said, "Of course, it has to do with racism, it’s an obvious reason. The beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this. A lot of people got to know her after everything, but I knew her before [she started dating Harry] and she’s the same chick. Now she’s got a real platform, she talks about the same things she always did."
During the interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan had spoken about her son Archie not being given a title or security. "All around this same time, we have in tandem the conversation of he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations as how dark his skin might be when he’s born," she said. The SUITS actress did mention that this information was relayed to her by Prince Harry.
